The love of your precious Savior is the best gift of all!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I remember my first Christmas after my accident that left me a quadriplegic. I was stuck in a dreary rehabilitation center in Baltimore, unable to go outside—and that meant no shopping for gifts. I felt awful, but the more I began to reflect on the meaning of Christmas, I realized the best gift I could give Jesus and others was myself—very much like the gift he gave at Christmas. Romans 8 explains that “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” Now, you may not be in the hospital like I was, but maybe you lack the money to purchase gifts, or your arthritis prevents you from shopping at the mall. Well, consider Romans 8 because you have everything to give—yourself, your friendship, and the love of your precious Savior, the best gift of all!
