Even in long seasons of suffering, trust God’s timing, knowing He is shaping your character and working everything for your good.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When it comes to the story of Joseph, not many realize that he probably went into prison when he was a teenager and came out at the age of 30. That’s a long time. Just think of all the suffering Joseph went through those many years. Yet the Psalmist says of Joseph in Psalm 105:19, “Until the time came to fulfill His word, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” For all of us who suffer hardship, there is an “until.” That is, there’s a time limit to the testing, there’s a definite end in sight for our trials. Let God have His way, let Him do His work, and when it is all done, we can say with Joseph, “God meant it to me for my good.” So, hold on, friend. The difficult and trying season that you are in right now will not last forever. And rest assured, that difficult trial will not last a moment longer than is necessary. Keep trusting, just as did Joseph did.
