Episode Summary

Work together with others so that one day, you can join your disabled brothers and sisters at the banquet in heaven!

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. In Luke 14, Jesus tells of a great feast where people with disabilities are invited: the poor, the crippled, blind and the lame. Could you imagine what that would look like? Children with Down syndrome would be serving a meal, a woman with blindness perhaps would give a toast and there would be Jesus—surrounded by all the quadriplegics and lepers that he healed through his death on the cross. It’s a powerful image, and a moving one. And it’s why at our Joni and Friends office we display what we call our “Luke 14 Mural.” It’s a huge painting that portrays what the Great Banquet might look like. Hey, I trust these are encouraging words for you because every day I sure do love sharing hope through your hardships. And if you need prayer, go today to joniradio.org. Let’s work together so that one day in heaven we can join our brothers and sisters at the banquet of the Lord.
