Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When a fast-moving car hit 13-year-old Cathe, she was left a quadriplegic. Never did she expect to live her life in a wheelchair but listen to what this young teen said – “Joni, I’m like the potter’s clay talked about in Jeremiah. I’m being reshaped into something that will be far better. Before the accident I was an awful snob, but now God is doing something better.” Wise words from one so young! And it makes me wonder – are you facing a life-altering injury? If so, Jeremiah 18 says, “He was using his hands to make a pot from clay, but something went wrong with it. So he used that clay to make another pot the way he wanted it to be.” The Heavenly Potter will use hardships to make you into something better – someone new who reflects his marvelous design. Cathe found peace in that promise, and you can, too – when you place yourself in the hands of the heavenly potter.
