How comforting to know that when you’re a believer, there’s no mystery to how God will end your story.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend Judy loves a good mystery book. The funny thing is, to find out whether the book is good or not, Judy doesn’t read the reviews or see who has written an endorsement—no. She decides to buy books by reading the last few pages. But what about the mystery, you say? Well, Judy says that she doesn’t want to invest a whole lot of time in a story that has a bad ending. When she shared that, I thought, well, I'm sure glad that Christians know how our story ends; and it’s happy! Isaiah 46 says, “I am God … I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.” Friend, aren’t you glad there’s no mystery to the way God will end our story? It’s the promise of heaven, a glorified body, and joy forever—all written in the Bible: the best book of all times. So, friend, open that book today, because it’s got a wonderful ending!
