No matter what season you’re in, be content.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, asking, are you content with where you are in life? My friend Susanna has moved to different parts of the country and overseas due to her husband’s job. She wrote me, “Joni, back when I lived in West Texas, oh how I longed for the seasons of snow in my hometown in Pennsylvania. And when we moved to the cool rainy highlands in Scotland, I missed the West Texas sunshine. It made me think of the Israelites finally getting out of Egypt yet wanting to go back.” Oh, isn’t that something? When the Lord promised them milk and honey, the Israelites wanted Egypt’s garlic and onions! Contentment with where God puts us is so critical. Whether it’s where you live, your job, marriage, or school. Don’t be wishing things were different. The Lord knows where he is in taking you in life, so there’s no reason to fret. No matter what season you’re in, be content. For contentment is great gain!
