Stay on the right path, no matter how hard it feels – it’s leading you to the cross, and it’s leading you home.

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni, and my disability is getting harder, but it tells me, “Guess what? I’m on the right road, the one that’s filled with twists and turns and lots of problems.” But it’s the path that leads to the cross. Kind of like the one Jesus walked. Hebrews 5 even says that “Although [Jesus] was a Son, he learned obedience from what he suffered.” Jesus’ road was marred by potholes and problems, hardships and disappointments, but every jolt along that difficult path reminded him that he, too, was on the right road – the road that ultimately led to the cross. And we learn obedience from the things that we suffer on our way to the cross. The road of life requires that we die to our wants and wishes and live for Jesus Christ. So, friend, today, stay on the right path, no matter how hard it feels. ’Cause it’s leading you to the cross and it’s leading you home.
