Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And you never know who you will inspire! Recently, my doctor-friend Tim shared a photo he took of a nurse named Joni. Her name was spelled just like mine [J-O-N-I]! It seems that 33 years ago, an expectant couple was watching me share my story on TV. They were inspired and when their daughter was born two days later, they named her after me. Today, this woman named Joni is a nurse caring for needy people in the same spirit of compassion for the weak—and I love that! Who would’ve thought my example would have had that impact? Titus 2 says, “… be an example to others by doing good works.” Oh, my goodness, the power of example! So today, be a godly example of Christ’s care and compassion. Live to inspire others. I’m not saying that someone will be named after you; but I am saying you will bless a lot of others looking on.
