Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Quadriplegia, with all its daily pains and problems, can sometimes scream for your undivided attention. It can insist that no one has it as bad as I do. But I learned long ago not to listen to those whining voices—those voices are filled with lies. Indeed, there are plenty of people in the world whose physical challenges are far more difficult than anything I’ll ever experience. God has given me a cross that, according to his design, is not one inch too long nor one pound too heavy—and he does the same for you. Why? So, we can happily live out Philippians 2 that “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” Join me in committing to make an effort to carry your cross with the attitude of Jesus—and think of others, no matter how hard your circumstances.
