Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. David and Nancy Writebol are missionaries serving with SIM in Liberia. You might recognize their names from the news. When the Ebola scare had us all on edge, Nancy contracted the dreaded disease and was quarantined. Thankfully, she survived. And when she gave her testimony to our Joni and Friends staff, she shared how my book A Place of Healing was such a great inspiration during her confinement – while in isolation, she read it three times! Now that Nancy is healthy, she and David are back serving in Liberia. Because of contamination, Nancy's copy of my book, A Place of Healing was destroyed along with her other belongings.
