Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and don’t you hate a leaky faucet? A few nights ago, I was lying in bed when I heard a “drip, drip, drip.” I opened one eye, and realized the sound was coming from the bathroom. I whispered to Ken, but he was sound asleep, and I didn’t want to wake him up. Believe me, that night I did not get much rest. The annoying drip of a leaky faucet will drive anyone crazy. So, where am I going with this story? Well, Proverbs 27 says, “A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof in a rainstorm.” Yikes! That is a hard word to hear. But Scripture is so useful in helping us realize what is wrong in our lives. So today, ask yourself: Am I being a leaky faucet? Have I been quarreling with my spouse, bickering with the kids, irritating my coworkers? If so, take a moment and ask forgiveness. And then, tighten your lips as you would tighten a faucet.
