Your pain has God’s attention, so please look for his touch today.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada saying that God has a strong distaste for suffering. If you want to see just how strong, flip to Judges 10 where God is watching the Ammonites oppress Israel. God's people toss out their idols and they cry out in prayer. Finally, and here's the line – “God could bear Israel's misery no longer." Don't you love that? It shows beyond a doubt that God’s tenderness is aroused when people hurt. Oh friend, he knows your suffering. He’s touched by your tears. He aches to show compassion. And he’s not going to leave you in misery, for just as he did with the people of Israel, the Lord will come to your aid. It may arrive today in the mailbox as an encouragement card, or a knock on the door from a friend, or a surprise phone call. Whatever it is, it got its origins in the Lord of the universe. Your pain has his attention, so please, please look for his touch today.
