When God gives special moments of refreshing, remember that they come from the Lord.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and every morning, right after Ken gets me positioned in my wheelchair, he pours me a generous cup of hot coffee. We both linger over the rich aroma as he tilts the cup to my lips. We don’t say much; we just relish the moment. A slice of rest, a small routine that refreshes. Oh, friend, when God gives you these special moments, know this: they come from the Lord. Every good and perfect gift, no matter how insignificant or small, all of it comes from God. And as Jesus says in Matthew 11, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” So, whenever in your day you are able to press the pause button for a moment, recognize it for what it is: a restful blessing from God. Treasure those refreshing moments because they are grace-filled gifts from the Lord above.
