Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I am so honored that people look at me as a role model, but I never want to come across as a holier-than-thou, plaster saint on some pedestal. It’s why when I'm speaking from a platform, I often peel back the veneer to explain to the audience who I really am. I tell them – I often wake up in the morning sick and tired of paralysis; I can so easily slump into a peevish sour disposition; I don’t always think the best of others; I can easily hog the spotlight; I can be very lazy in my habits of Bible reading and prayer, and so much more. In other words, I’m just like you. Just like everyone else. I need redemption. I need grace. I need God! And friend, so do you. James 5 says that, “We should confess our sins one to another that we might be healed.” Is that something you’ve done lately? Friend, humble yourself before others. Tell of your sin and show your need of Jesus. You may start a trend.
