Wait for the Lord and his perfect timing in your life.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my friend Mary Jane Ponten has cerebral palsy. Since she was a child, her dream was to serve in the country of China. Then later, Mary Jane discovered that no missions board would take her because she was disabled. But all that changed after Mary Jane heard about Wheels for the World. To date, this woman has served on Wheels for the World teams to 16 countries—including her beloved China. Her disability has opened up so many in-roads, it’s amazing. Psalm 27 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” There’s a reason for it being said twice: because it’s not easy to wait. But Mary Jane says, “I had to be willing to wait on the Lord and let him use my disability not in spite of it, but because of it.” Today, friend, wait for the Lord and his perfect timing in your life. That’s your good word today from joniradio.org.
