Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Years ago on a Wheels for the World trip to Peru, our team met Angelica and her mother, Juanita. Twenty-five-year-old Angelica was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Since birth, Angelica was carried around on the back of her brother. As our physical therapist sat her in her new wheelchair, her mother began to cry. She said, oh, “I want you to understand that this is not an answer to just any prayer. For 20 years I have been praying for a wheelchair for my daughter, and today, God has answered my plea.” Psalm 5 says, “I lay my requests before you and I wait in expectation.” Well, this dear mother waited in expectation for 20 years, but the Lord did answer! And it’s why I am asking you to join me in praying for these families. Stop by joniandfriends.org to drop a note of prayer and learn more about Wheels for the World.
