God’s timing is perfect and his plan is always worth waiting for, so take heart as you wait for the Lord.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I wait on the Lord for many things. I wait for someone to get me up out of bed in the morning, I wait for God to provide a new caregiver, if the one gets sick or moves out of state. And I wait for that glorious day when my wheelchair will be a thing of the past and I will dance before the throne of God. With all this, I tell you, waiting can be hard, and it can feel interminably long. It’s why Psalm 27 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” So, right there, in between the bookends of stating, “Wait for the Lord,” God says, “Be strong and take heart.” Don’t falter. Don’t allow weariness to discourage you. Don’t let impatience rule the day. God’s timing is perfect, and his plan is always worth waiting for.
