Influence the world and showcase the love of Jesus through your actions in how you speak, think, and act.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And do you ever find yourself getting agitated as you read the newspapers or listen to CNN or even Fox News these days? Sometimes it feels as though the entire world is spinning toward, well, Sodom and Gomorrah. But we shouldn’t be surprised because 1 John 5 says that, “The whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” It’s why as Christians, we should not smirk at the misery or the merrymaking of our immoral culture. This is no time for smug self-righteousness. No, rather, this is the season, perhaps like none other, to truly influence the world, to showcase the love of Jesus through our lives – through how we speak, think, and act. Others may whine about the triumphs of evil, but not us, not followers of Jesus. We know better. We know that ultimately good will triumph. So, then live wisely. We are in this world to reclaim it for Christ.
