You have to look for God’s perspective in everything in order to see the world around you as a gift.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my husband Ken, and his buddy, Jan, love to go fly-fishing. They’ve always looked at it as a gift from God – something they can do together as they marvel at the wonders of God’s creation out on the river. Now, maybe you’re thinking, “What’s so marvelous about flying bugs and fish?” Well, did you know that the water purity and temperature has to be just right in order for insect populations to grow and hatch, and how those insects in the stream are food for trout and birds? I mean come on; such intricate connections between insects and fish are a part of God’s detailed plan for his creation. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” – even bugs and fish. Always and always, we have to look for God’s perspective in everything. So, take a look at the world around you, and yes, please do marvel! Because God’s wonders are everywhere!
