You can’t go wrong by talking to Jesus every day.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Looking back when I was in the hospital after my diving accident, it’s interesting how I encountered Jesus. On many nights when I could not sleep and wanted so much to cry, I’d picture Him coming to visit me. I imagined him lowering the guard rail of my hospital bed and gently sitting on the edge of the mattress. At the time I did not realize I was responding to an invitation. Psalm 27 says, “My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I’m coming.’” So, during those nights I imagined Jesus gently brushing back my tears with his nail-scarred hands. And though I did not audibly hear Him, I sensed Him saying, “Joni, see these nails prints? If I loved you enough to die for you, don’t you think I can be trusted with this?” And He’s right; He’s worthy of my trust. So today, talk with Jesus and see what He has done for you!
