Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Isaiah 54 is a favorite for many people, me included. But I especially love that very first verse, “Sing, O barren woman… break forth and cry aloud!” This verse is special not only because I am physically barren and have never borne children; it’s special because there are times when we all feel barren. Times when our prayers feel lifeless, our love is cold, our faith seems weak, and we see no fruit in our lives. When we’re in such a condition, what should we do? Break forth in song and cry aloud to God. And if you’re looking for something to sing about, choose Jesus. Sure, there might not be much to sing about as you look at your own life, but you can focus on, sing to, rejoice in, and cry aloud to your Savior. In him, you will find life for your prayers, love, faith, and the best part, you will find fresh power that’ll bring forth glorious fruit.
