God always seems bigger to those who need him most.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. You know, I’ll never forget the first time I went with our Wheels for the World team to Africa to distribute wheelchairs and Bibles to people with disabilities. One of the first disabled people I met there greeted me with the words, “Oh, Joni, welcome to our country, where God is so much bigger. [And] He’s bigger because we need Him more here.” I tell you, that phrase has stuck with me all these many years; and whenever I begin to sense the encroachments of my own wheelchair, I think of that disabled guy. He taught me that God always, always seems bigger to those who need him most. And the people we now serve in Ghana, El Salvador, Jordan, Ukraine, they truly do need Jesus. So how about it, friend?
