Whether your calling is lofty or lowly, it is your faithfulness in your calling that will make you great in the kingdom of heaven.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And do you ever wonder what it will be like to stand in heaven next to people like Billy Graham, the great evangelist, or Corrie Ten Boom, the saint who put her life on the line to hide Jews from the Nazis? Next to the giants of Christianity? You might consider yourself as ‘only’ a church greeter or ‘only’ a stay-at-home mom, not as someone with a high ministry calling. Well, if you ever feel small and insignificant in comparison to the pastors, and evangelists, and missionaries of this world take a look at 1 Corinthians 4. It says, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” Oh, friend, all God is looking for is that you be trustworthy in what he’s called you to do and be. Whether your calling is lofty or lowly, it is your faithfulness in your calling that will make you great in the kingdom of heaven.
