Today, follow in the steps of Jesus and pray that God creates in you, a true heart for people with disabilities.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and throughout the Bible, Jesus performed many miracles. But what encourages me is not so much the miracle, but why Jesus did it. Take a look at Mark 3, the healing of the man with a shriveled hand. It happened on the Sabbath, and this infuriated some of the people in the synagogue. They were indignant that Jesus should help this man on the Sabbath. But the Bible records that the Lord was deeply disturbed by their indifference. They didn’t care about this disabled man; they only cared about the rules. And because of that, Jesus went ahead and healed the man’s withered hand. Friend, Jesus did not have a degree in rehab therapy, but he had a true heart for people with disabilities, especially those who felt rejection. So today, follow in the steps of Jesus.
