If today the Lord has slowed your speed down through an injury or illness, remember, that God is guiding you every step of the way, at his pace.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And for my friend Ron, life was going perfectly. He was a high school senior with an academic and football scholarship to Northwestern University. But then Ron went on spring break to Florida. And it was on that vacation he was bitten by a mosquito. At first it was no big deal—that is until he learned he had contracted viral encephalitis. As a result, Ron suffered brain damage. After a five-month coma, he had to relearn everything—walking, talking, and even eating. While recovering in the hospital, all Ron wanted was to run on a football field. But soon, he accepted the fact that he would never run his pace; rather, he would have to keep in “step” with the Spirit, just as Galatians 5 says. Friend, if today the Lord has slowed your speed down through an injury or illness, remember, that God is guiding you every step of the way, at his pace.
