Episode Transcription

Hi, this is Joni Eareckson Tada and I'll never forget being in the Philippines during the monsoon season. I was speaking at a conference where a small band of blind musicians were playing on stage. Outside the rain was pouring when suddenly there was a crash of lightning, and the conference hall went dark. Unfazed though, the musicians did not skip a beat. They kept playing right through the dark. At first, all of us were amazed. And then we remembered – oh my goodness – the musicians are blind. So we wildly applauded them. Friend, when circumstances suddenly plunge you into darkness, when there’s no light for your path and yet you hold onto his hand in the dark? Angels wildly applaud the Lord. So, keep practicing the presence of God so that when dark times come and you can’t see the conductor, you will still be able to play by heart. That will really kick up the wattage on God's glory.
