Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. If you’ve ever read through the book of Exodus, you know God is very particular when it comes to worship. Whether it’s instructions about priestly garments, the fire on the altar, or the Holy of Holies. The theme that resonates through it all? God is utterly exacting about the way He is to be worshiped. For Old Testament believers it meant adhering to strict guidelines. And for us, it's just as exacting, but in a different way. John 4 tells us we are to worship him in spirit and in truth. That means with clean hands and a pure heart. Worship him with all your strength, your mind; that is, with an understanding of who God is and what he has done for us. Friend, I invite you to take a look at the way you worship —and ask God to create in you a pureheart that delights in worshiping him with every fiber of your being.
