God has royally elected you and he did that with all His heart and soul!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and we would all agree that God is good. But sometimes, it doesn’t appear that way when you receive news of a bad medical diagnosis, or bankruptcy, or that your spouse has left you with the children for someone else. It’s hard to reconcile those things with Jeremiah 32 where God says, “I will rejoice in doing [my people] good... with all my heart and with all my soul.” But friend, we’ve got to remember that God’s idea of good is to make you more like Jesus with all His patience, and endurance, and forgiveness. God has not rescued us to make our lives happy or healthy, or even free of trouble. He has rescued us to make us more like Christ. That is the really good part, and Jesus is worth it! Like the saying goes, “God ruthlessly perfects those whom He royally elects.” And when it comes to your life, God will do that with all His heart and soul.
