There are ways you can serve no matter what your illness, age, or disability. Find out more ways you can serve at joniandfriends.org.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend Charles broke his neck when he was a teenager back in 1958! This makes Charles one of the longest living quadriplegics with 56 years in a wheelchair. But a spinal cord injury did not stop him from accomplishing his dreams. After graduating high school, Charles wheeled off to college and then law school, graduating Suma Cum Laude to become a successful lawyer. Now in his 70s, Charles says that, yes, it is a challenge just to get going each day, but getting up every morning invigorates him; because he cannot wait to get out there and find ways he can serve the Lord. James 1 says that great joy comes to those who experience great adversity. Oh friend, there are ways you can serve no matter what your illness, age, or disability. So, visit joniandfriends.org to learn how you can glorify Jesus through serving him and others – even when it’s hard.
