Keep leaning on the grace of God on your best days and on your worst days.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and my husband Ken is loving a book by Jerry Bridges. Last night, he showed me a quote on grace. Jerry wrote this; he said, “Your worst of days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace.” Well, that really sparked a great conversation between Ken and me. I told him that sometimes, I don’t know, I just feel so vile, so distant from God because of spiritual laziness or worldly thoughts or whatever – I feel so estranged from God that I sense I’m beyond the reach of his grace. But that’s a lie from Satan. And if I should ever be so joyful and confident in my faith that I feel no need of grace, again, that’s a lie from Satan. So, friend, keep leaning on the grace of God through every up and down.
